Cowan Simulations R66 - isan amazing rendition of the Robinson R66 (turbine)the first thing you'll notice once you load in is the pure detail andamazing modelthat's been used. The 4K PBR textures lookabsolutely perfect here and they continue into the cockpit. This R66 is well equipped with fully functional 3D Gauges, amazing night lighting, a3D Checklist, and plenty of GPS options from the G530 to the GTNXI 750.
One of my favorite features about this aircraft is how open the cockpit is - it's not cluttered with gauges and switches - heck you can even remove the doors. Not only that but the Cowan Simulations R66 is Fully VR compatible and boy is it an experience - one of, if not the best VR aircraft to fly in MSFS.
Let's talk flight Dynamics
Like any helicopter there is a learning curve, it's very different to any aircraft, a lot more to manage and think about throughout the whole flight. The R66 is one of the better simple helicopters due to its size and power-to-weight ratio. Cowansim has nailed it on the head here being a stunning flight model - making it simple enough yet still fairly realistic, it's the perfect balance which is what makes it so fun to fly - genuinely my go-to helicopter to fly in the Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020.
Packed with features
Cowan Simulations has packed this tiny R66 with more features than it could carry if it wanted to. Startingoff with avionics you go the classic analog setup right to almost a full glass cockpit with a GTNXI 750. You can also pull up a 3d checklist that's in the cockpit - perfect for Virtual Reality use. It also comes with 22 4k Liveries which are all amazing and so high quality. From realistic flight models to animated passengers, there is everything you could want in this R66
Overall thoughts,
Honestly, I can't rate this high enough, you can't beat a class R22, and Cowansim has done it perfectly. Currently, it costs 24.99 which I think is more than a perfect price for what you're getting. This R22 I'd personally argue is as comprehensive as PMDG and Fenix with their level of detail. Check it out on their website Here https://cowansim.com/product/r22-for-msfs
