Is the iniBuilds A350 worth it?
February 28, 2025CSS 737 Delayed
The excitement surrounding the release of the CSS 737 Classic was palpable. Flight simulation fans had been eagerly awaiting this highly anticipated aircraft, with expectations running high. Unfortunately, the initial product live stream didn’t quite go as planned. Technical issues plagued the event, dampening what should have been a major milestone for Classic Simulation Systems (CSS). In hindsight, a few test streams would’ve likely prevented the hiccups—but as any simmer knows, turbulence is sometimes unavoidable.

Turbulence - CAT Light
Shortly after the livestream, the NDA was lifted, and content creators were finally able to showcase the 737 Classic in action. While we’re still (patiently) waiting for our review copy, a few streamers did go live with the aircraft. The response? Mixed, but mostly constructive. Viewers and creators alike voiced valid concerns with the aircraft - things that would it feel much more polished and refined. However, that being said a lot of people also said it's one of the best simulations of a 737 Classic they've experienced.
The CSS Holding Pattern
To their credit, CSS took this feedback seriously.
Rather than rushing a product to market, the development team made the tough but responsible decision to delay the launch. For many in the community, this move was seen as a positive step. After all, when you're investing in a premium aircraft add-on, quality matters. Some initial impressions were critical, with a few viewers citing the presentation as “underwhelming” given the price point. Others expressed frustration, even clashing with developers on social platforms.
Despite the turbulence, the development team at CSS has remained committed to delivering a polished and high-fidelity simulation of the 737 Classic. In a statement to us, CSS said:
“Our team is working hard to fix the build errors that made it into the streamer and journalist release.”
So, where does that leave us now? The aircraft's official release date is currently TBD, and the team has made it clear they won’t speculate until they’re confident in the product's readiness.
Yes—I’ve seen your messages, emails, Facebook comments, Twitch, and Discord DMs (no, I haven’t missed them!), I’m eagerly awaiting my copy!

Personal Notes
On a personal note, I feel it’s important to disclose a bit of bias: I’m a long-time admirer of the 737 Classic. It’s easily one of my all-time favorite aircraft—right alongside the mighty A380. My journey with the 737 Classic goes back to the Wilco days in FS9, so this release carries a special kind of nostalgia for me. Still, I’ve done my best to maintain a fair perspective and report the facts objectively.
At the end of the day, what matters most is that CSS appears to be listening to its community—and that’s a rare and valuable trait in the flight sim development space. If they deliver on their promises, the 737 Classic could still become a staple in your virtual hangar.
Stay tuned for updates and, hopefully soon, a full review once we get our hands on the aircraft.
