Deep Analysis
In this spectacular video, we can see FlyByWire has been smashing out the work on the A380 to put the highest quality addon into Microsoft Flight Simulator. I'm going to take you on a deep dive through what I've seen in this video, lets first address that this video is almost 1 year old now. I suspect we're around the corner from an update shortly from the team. None the less let's get right into this.
0:49 - We can see into the cockpit and see all of her glory, we can also see a possibly WIP PFD as there appears to be a paperclip or switch (Which might be a feature of the Airbus PFD)
Â
1:38 - You can see how dirty this workhorse is with grim and dirty all over the NAV/COM interface which is also displaying "INOP" (Inoperative or Not working)Â
Â
1:54 - We can see the Airbus keyboard is deployed - possibly hinting at a working keyboard system for the flight computers. (Notice even grim on the trackpad from finger grim and dirt)Â
Â
Â
4:56 - FlyByWire shows us all the grim, dirt, and mess they've added to the aircraft - it's a workhorse an aircraft that's seen a lot of flight hours. I love itÂ
Â
7:24 - Here we can see the dirty and greasy engine mounts for the massive Trent 900Â
Â
7:29 - We can see the huge detail in the turbofan, down to the blades and where they've rubbed the engine casingÂ
Â
Â
7:34 - We can see the all too famous "aileron waltz" where the ailerons perform a dance or waltz as they move.Â
Â
Â
7:57 - You can see the outer engine flexing/wobblingÂ
Â
Â
8:20 - We can see the wing flex as the A380 buffets around on approachÂ
Â
9:17 - We get a small taste of Borris sound set for the A380 which is the best I've personally heardÂ
Â
10:00 - We can see the volumetric lighting off the strobe lightsÂ

The FBW A380X | Progress Reveal
Let's talk over everything that the FlyByWire team dropped, I will list some key features and talk about more key features and notes.
- 0:45 - We can see we have working sliding windows in the A380, not only that but the team has opted for a small tablet
- 0:35 - Yet again we can see the crazy detail in the wear in all the switches, as the paint has faded for highly used buttons and knobs
- 0:52 - We get a quick glimpse of the tablet turned on, showing we can expect all the amazing features we've seen on the A320
- 0:57 - We can even adjust the armrest...
- 1:25 - We can see all the detail in the fingerprints and dirt on the displays and autopilot until
- 1:37 - Here we see the displays powering on
