June 16, 2024Microsoft Flight Simulator Flysimware Learjet 35 Review
I've waited on writing this review as I knew it could get better with updates, so a few updates later here I am writing out a review for Flysimware's Learjet. Flysimware has a good eye for attention to detail and the Learjet is no excuse here. The Learjet 35 is a study-level aircraft, it has so many sounds, and actions I don't think I can list them all - but let's dive into the review
Flight Model
The flight model that Flysimware has used on the Learjet 35, is nothing short of amazing, this really feels amazing to fly - doing a high-performance takeoff feels like you're flying a rocket, but once it's slow and on the approach, it isn't too fidgety. The Flight model really feels amazing to hand fly, taking her up in high winds and you'll feel the bumps and so will your passengers. It's the sports car of the skies, it's quick and sleek.
Cockpit
The flight deck on the Flysimware Learjet is fairly simple yet has a nice classical look to it, you'll enjoy 3D steam gauges and nice sounds too all the switches. Although its a bit of a classic cockpit layout, it doesn't mean it isn't fitted out with a nice modern avionics package like the GTN750. You’ll also find an interactable cabin, you can open and close the window shades, pull out the tray tables and so on which is a nice touch for those long legs.
Features
The Flysimware Learjet 35 comes jam-packed with features including an EFB / Tablet that can be used to configure the aircraft. While you won't do around and preflight checks, it does include a full checklist, and removable covers for engines, cockpit, and all the tubes. Along with choosing the passengers, weights, and fuel. It also includes 4 types of avionic packages including support for GTN750, GTN750xI, GNS 530, and Garmin AS330. It also includes 4k PBR textures and they look stunning which includes icing effects and windshield rain effects. 3D Looking Gauges
Sounds
The sound package I personally find hit and miss, both good and bad - let me explain. The sounds for all the switches and clickers sound perfect and unreal and the turbine spooling up on start up sounds amazing. But when in cruise or at idle the sounds just sound a low quality. I think we the competitors making other aircraft with such how sound packages have made my taste a bit rich, but it is something worth noting
Overall Thoughts
Overall the Flysimware Learjet 35, is an amazing aircraft - it's heaps of fun to fly and really fun to learn. It has its learning curve, but it's one of the more fun aircraft I've found while learning and enjoying it. From the flight model to the textures this aircraft is stunning. Check it out Here
