December 21, 2024MSFS 2020 FSLabs A321ceo Released
FSLabs has been well known in the community since the days of FSX with their product A320-X which offered a study-level simulation of the Airbus. Something back in the days of FSX we didn't really have, they were considered the top people for creating high fidelity study level simulation aircraft. Other than bringing their lineup of Airbus aircraft to Prepar3d (P3D) it has been mostly radio silence from the team, until recently.
A couple of weeks back, the team announced the A321 would be coming to Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 and showed off a couple of pictures but nothing more was really said.
Features
Flybywire systems are all new with FSLabs capturing the authentic A321 feel.
GPS Jamming Simulation - The A321 will simulate areas in which GPS navigation is unreliable, testing the pilot's skills.
The FSLabs A321 also features built-in weather effects, like realistic wipers, Saint Elmo's fire, snow, and ice accumulation on the aircraft, and more.
Dynamic Failures and aircraft aging are also a feature in the FSLabs A321ceo, meaning we'll see realistic issues in the flight deck as the aircraft gets older.
FSLabs has also added GSX Integration to make it feel much more complete.
See the full feature list on their website Here.
It can be purchased today through FSLabs website for $123 AUD or $78.50 USD Here
Is it too late?
One question stands to be asked, we've got so many airbus in the simulator now, is this too late - do we really need it? Well, the FSLabs is well known for their high-quality add-ons, which are similar to Fenix Simulations. It's an interesting time for release, we've just gotten into Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 with a lot of people still jumping back to the old faithful Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 for their favorite aircraft. So there is still a market for it, and in terms of study level A321's is limited with the only real other option being Fenix A321 (Other than the iniBuilds A321 with MSFS2024)
Time will tell as we look at this aircraft and see how it stacks up with Fenix and iniBuilds, personally, i have faith in the team at FSLabs - however, it'd be great to see them do a retro A320 with CRT displays, something unique.
