During the Dev livestream, we learned a bit more about the up-and-coming new MSFS - MSFS2024. We learned more about the UI and controls page in the simulator, some of the interesting takeaways are that controller config can be linked to specific aircraft. Not only that but changing inputs is much quicker and faster along with the big one - all controller configs can be shared by the community, which also means hardware manufacturers can ship products with specific MSFS Configs.
This is quite a big deal, no more changing profiles on your controller for specific aircraft, it appears now that it will all be automatic. You can save a config for the Fenix A320 using the Thrustmaster Airbus TCA, then once you are done simply select another aircraft and have the control config automatically change. Not only that but having the ability to share custom configs for aircraft, saves the hassle and time of going through and configuring all the buttons and controls.
Another important thing to note was, as we can now configure our controllers per aircraft - the team said as an example if the aircraft didn't have landing gear - it wouldn't be an option to map to your controller. This means you'll save a lot more time when it comes to making controller inputs, you'll only see what you can map to your aircraft specifically.
The Asobo and Microsoft Flight Simulator team finished up by saying we'll be finding a lot more information about the up-and-coming Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 (MSFS 2024) In September, so be ready - I'll be covering everything i can about the new simulator right here.
