MSFS Sim Update 15 Is Finally Out!
Great news for all Microsoft Flight Simulator fans: Sim Update 15 has officially landed and is ready for download! After a lengthy public beta and a few hiccups along the way, this much-anticipated update is finally here.

So, what's new in Sim Update 15? First off, you'll notice a boost in performance, with smoother FPS and better memory usage. There are also, a bunch of aircraft improvements that are now live, and we’re seeing finally the brand-new Airbus A320NEO v2, developed by iniBuilds.

This new Airbus doesn’t just replace the old one – it adds a whole new dimension. It's packed with advanced features, including more sophisticated systems and an onboard EFB, making it perfect for those looking to dive deeper but not to the level of Fenix simulations. This will be the perfect middle point between both aircraft.
The changelog for Sim Update 15 is extensive, covering a wide array of enhancements. So we’ll link it here if you want to check it out - but here are the general bug fixes that we're all excited to see
General Bug Fixes
Fixed an issue where friends occasionally appeared duplicated in the friends list
Improved performance:
Improved FPS, particularly where the FPS was low
Reduced stutters, particularly after long gameplay
Reduced loading times
Various crash fixes across the title
In our continued effort to create the most stable platform possible, we introduced a change for Xbox in Sim Update 15 that will reallocate memory before a crash occurs (due to the sim running out of memory). On Xbox, this means you may temporarily encounter reduced level of visual world detail to prevent a crash until memory has recovered.
Data from Sim Update 15 Beta participants has shown positive improvements for stability, and we believe Sim Update 15 will have the best stability on Xbox of any Sim Update thus far.
FPS display memory usage now displays allocated virtual memory rather than used physical memory pages. This more accurately reflects the memory effectively used by the simulator
A word or warning
Don't forget to back up your community folder and move it away for a fresh install - some aircraft or addons may not be compatible yet with the new simulator update.
