May 3, 2024Quest 3 BoBoVR M3 Pro Head Strap Unboxing
Alright so first of all the delivery did take some time ordering directly from BoBoVR - I live in Australia and my M3 Pro came from China, it took roughly 10 days. While I was waiting I did however notice on Amazon I could order the same unit which would arrive the next day, which was a bit of a letdown. However, once it arrived I was very excited to get right into it and open it up. It came wrapped in a protective black wrap, however, nothing else, so the box was slightly banged on the edges once I opened it up - Nothing major.
So as you can see the damage is fairly minimal and only around the edges of the box, it would have been nice to see it in another box to protect it during transit. Nonetheless, I was satisfied with it and opened the box
After opening the box I was met with a fairly premium-feeling unboxing experience - there was more packaging along with instructions that were printed on the lid of the box. It was a nice touch and made the whole experience feel a lot more premium
After removing the actual head strap I was left with the back cover to the head strap and a small white box, which contained the battery, and a USB C charging cable for the battery. The first thing I noticed is that the battery is a bit heavier than I expected. This is a slight concern given that VR headsets are designed to be as light as possible
The battery box contained the battery itself plus the USB C cable and a small booklet about the battery. Other than that this box was empty,
Putting the headset together was fairly straightforward, and the instructions were pretty useful for this, I will say the hardest part was removing the original stock head strap. Mainly unclipping them from the headphone pieces as you feel like you're going to snap something. So I recommend taking your time and doing it right to avoid any damage. After that, you just slide the BoboVR M3 Pro head strap over the headphones and do the velcro at the front and you're done.
Overall I'll say for the price, you get quite the unboxing experience and everything felt very strong and of decent quality. All around it feels like a great addition to any Quest owner collection. It looks miles better than the factory strap and the interchangeable batteries mean you can just keep running this headset while hot-swapping batterie. Which means you get to spend longer in Virtual Reality,
