May 6, 2024When Will ChasePlane Come To MSFS
It's a question a lot of seasoned simmers are asking, well we've got news on why - and Parallel 42 needs you and the community's help. I'll explain more, but for those who don't know what ChasePlane I'll dive into it quickly.
What is ChasePlane
ChasePlane is an incredible camera tool, giving the user the ultimate control over in-game cameras. It allows you to have fine control over every movement of the cameras, you can assign your joystick, sliders, or buttons to change the camera where you want it, at the speed and smoothness you desire. It's most popular feature I'd say is its motion effects, you can set it so your head follows the horizon, and when you touch down and hit the brakes your camera movements mimic it as you would in real life. It's the ultimate must-have for every simmer trust me.

So what's the issue?
On the Parallel 42 website they explain the SDK/API, what allows them to make content for the simulator is very limited in what can be done with the camera - in fact, they state "The API is NOT accessible to us or anyone else outside of Microsoft." I strongly suggest you check out Parallel 42's website Herehttps://parallel42.com/products/chaseplane-msfs
However, There Is Hope
There are 3 things they ask us to do, they are the following.
If you go tohttps://forums.flightsimulator.com/t/please-give-us-chaseplane/272780/27 Post in here asking or begging for it like I did

During the developer's live stream, ask for ChasePlane
So what now?
Unfortunately, there isn't any word yet that I've heard that ChasePlane is coming to the simulator just yet - however, Parallel 42 isn't giving up their waiting for Asobo and Microsoft the allow third parties to access the API and SDK needed to play around with cameras. At this stage, it's unlikely it'll be a thing we'll see inside of Micrsoft Flight Simulator 2020, but rather in Micrsoft Flight Simulator 2024 - considering we're only a short time away from when the simulator could potentially be releasing that isn't the worst. However, this is still not guaranteed we'll see it in the simulator then. We have to keep pushing the Asobo team to let Parllel 42 access the SDK and API needed to create ChasePlane for MSFS.
