GTA 6 - What Do We Know About Most Anticipated Release Of The Decade?
GTA 6 became the talk of town some time ago, with the release of its first-ever trailer in December 2023. However, the hype has died down since then, mainly because of Rockstar Games’ silence on the topic. But that hasn’t stopped people from analyzing every action of Rockstar Games under a microscope and speculating when the next trailer will come out or what GTA 6 will look like.

What Take Two's Acquisition Of FiveM Could Mean For GTA VI
Some time ago, players got excited whenRockstar Games acquired Cfx.re, the team behind FiveM. For those who don’t know, FiveM is a tool that allows players to have their own online servers for GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2. This came as a major surprise because Take-Two Interactive, Rockstar’s parent company, has always been against modding.
Because of this acquisition and Rockstar’s change in attitude toward modding in general, some people speculate that we will see more ways to play Grand Theft Auto 6. This is certainly a welcome change, and the community is glad to see more first-party support for custom servers!

GTA 6’s Graphics Will Surpass Unreal Engine 5
GTA 6 will use the latest iteration of Rockstar Games’ RAGE engine called RAGE 9, and according to some speculations, it will even surpass Unreal Engine 5’s graphical capabilities! Those who checked out the first teaser trailer for GTA 6 can already see how realistic and breathtaking the Florida-inspired Vice City looks.
RAGE 9 is expected to have 16K texture resolution compared to 12K of Unreal Engine 5. It will also feature realistic vehicle deformations, real-time water simulation, and time management by making day, night, evening, and morning more realistic. This will all make the experience of GTA 6 much more breathtaking and realistic than we’ve probably ever experienced.
When Will GTA 6 Come Out?
Grand Theft Auto 6 is expected to come out between January and April of 2025 for next-gen consoles. This estimate comes from Take Two’s fiscal targets for 2025. As the company’s chief finance officer shared, they expect to see a major inflection in earnings in the first quarter of 2025. We can anticipate this to be because of the release of GTA 6. Although the console release is on track, the PC version of the game might be behind schedule. But we’re just going to have to wait to see what the timeline of these releases looks like.
