Is The PMDG 777 For MSFS Worth Getting

Let's talk about whether the PMDG 777 for MSFS worth buying

First off, the PMDG 777 is one of the highest study-level aircraft available for the platform of MSFS (Microsoft Flight Simulator) but it does come with a fairly high price at $77.73 USD. So let's talk about what you get for your 77 Dollars, you get the Boeing 777-300ER which is a study-level aircraft that is fully functioning for most of its features in the simulator, making it very close to the real-life behavior of the real Boeing 777-300ER.

The PMDG 777 Simulates all systems and features of the real 777-300ER - making it loved by all simmers across the platform. Along with all the animations and sounds, this is truly a must-have for all MSFS Simmers. This is the perfect long-haul wide-body airliner, something we've been waiting a long time for in MSFS

We've finally got our hands on the beautiful PMDG 777, let me tell you everything about this bird in Microsoft Flight Simulator

The Downsides

The PMDG 777-300ER, while an amazing aircraft that is fully functioning - did have a slightly rocky launch. With the high anticipation of this aircraft, the PMDG Server couldn't keep up with the number of people downloading it, causing delays in downloading and getting your activation code. However with that now out of the way, a rather large bug managed to slip through the cracks of all the testing for the aircraft - causing freezing

The Freezing bug - this was a bug in MSFS where, if you clicked something in the FMC like the legs page during flight - it'd cause your MSFS to hard freeze (Hard Freeze means, your MSFS would freeze without recovering) Meaning people would have to force close the simulator and forfeit their flights. This has been officially patched in their last update - which you can read about Here - However, people are still reporting encountering this bug

Overall Thoughts

Overall I think this is a must-have aircraft for everyone - it is truly an astonishing work of art. It does come in quite expensive when compared to the rest of the market, but it does have a lot more than your typical addon. This is truly one of the highest levels of simulation for an aircraft for MSFS. I'd say its worth the money and I really enjoy this aircraft since the update personally I haven't experienced the freezing bug.
